checking in & out
check in
For Private Bookings: Check-in is between 3 PM to 7 PM. Unless you have arranged for an early check-in.
For CreativeSelf Retreats: Check-in is between 12 PM to 5 PM on the first day of your retreat. Orientation begins at 6 PM.
If we are able to accommodate early check-ins, we will, within a certain limit. If you would like to add a full day to your stay, we can discuss a day rate. Please email to make arrangements for early arrivals at hello@truehouse.ca.
keys
For Private Bookings: the house manager or one of the owners will be there to greet you and show you the key box.
For CreativeSelf Retreats: you will be given a room key when you arrive and check in at reception.
linens & towels
Linens, blankets, and towels are provided in each room.
kitchen
For Private Bookings: The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking tools, pans, plates, cups, etc. As well as a full size fridge for you to store your groceries for your stay.
For CreativeSelf Retreats: You are welcome to bring a small amount of personal groceries, if you require a specific diet. All meals during CreativeSelf retreats are provided.
house manager
We have a dedicated house manager, who lives onsite or will be nearby, if you need assistance during your stay.

check out
For Private Bookings: Check out is by 12 PM. Unless you have arranged for a late checkout.
For CreativeSelf Retreats: Check out is by 5 PM on the last day of the retreat.
If we are able to accommodate late check-outs, we will, within a certain limit. If you would like to add a full-day onto your stay, we can discuss a day-rate. Please email us to make arrangements for late departures at hello@truehouse.ca.
room keys
For Private Bookings: Please leave room keys & front door keys in the key box provided in the kitchen.
For CreativeSelf Retreats: Please leave your room in the key drop box or basket in reception when you leave.
linens & towels
You do not need to strip the beds, or remake the beds, leave the linens and blankets as is when you leave, we will take care of making the bed! Put used bath towels in the laundry baskets provided in the washrooms, and hand/face towels in the small laundry baskets provided under the sink in the bathroom.
kitchen
Please tidy up after yourself before you leave. Wash the last of your dishes, and remember to take your leftovers.
garbage & recycling
Please DO NOT leave garbage outside, if the kitchen garbage is full please leave tied bags in the first floor back stairwell.
Help us keep things green! Please separate recycling and put in the bin under the sink. Compost bins for food waste are in the freezer in the kitchen, extra compost bags can be found under in the cabinet under the sink.
the big blue room
If you are sharing the common spaces, please put away any items, books or board games in the common rooms. Please don’t remove any art, decor, items, books or games from the property.
don't forget anything
Make sure you don't leave any belongings in the common spaces or bedrooms when you leave.
